Optimising Your Working, Organise Your Workspace

{ Posted on Jan 28 2012 by Keith2 }
Categories : Uncategorized

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Contest Factory for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Working from home will require much effort from you. It is always very tempting to have a long lie in, watch some morning TV and maybe go for a long walk. Having a well set up working environment will help you to achieve your home working potential to the best, but it is not always easy.

If you are working from home, whether full time or part time, then your working environment can be just that. The environment that you work in and almost live in! If you are anything like me there will be pieces of paper stuck on the wall and spread around the desk, piles of invoices waiting to be paid and orders waiting to be processed. Maybe your computer will be old and past it with stickers on the side from the kids.

It is a mess and plenty of people work like this, but the Pimp My Cube Contest is wanting to out these messy work environments and maybe help a few of them to get better and you can join in very simply! All that you have to do is to create a simple video of just how bad your work station is, make it funny and then register and upload it to the site.

Once the video is live get everyone you know to review it and vote for it and if you are really lucky you could be wining one of great prizes that are on offer, such as a high end computer system, new office furniture or an entertainment package of a stereo, coffee machine and so on! You have until midnight on Tuesday to get your video to the top of the charts!

Saving WIth Walgreens

{ Posted on Jan 22 2012 by Keith2 }

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

For many people prescription costs are quite costly, both because of the number of prescriptions required and the actual cost of each one of them.

That is where the Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens can come in very useful. For as little as $10 per year customers can buy a family membership, which covers the entire immediate family. This includes husband and wife along with their dependent children and even pets. If you are not a family you can have an individual membership from as low as just $5 per year.

Membership will provide you with discounted medications throughout the year, which is guaranteed else you can claim a refund! On top of that other benefits include:

- making savings on over 8000 branded medications and all generic products

- discounts on pet prescriptions, nebulisers and more

- bonuses when you purchase other Walgreens products.

If this interests you then you can find out more directly or you can follow their social networking. Look for Walgreens on Twitter or Walgreens on Facebook to find out more and support their work. If you regularly use either of the social networks do take a few minutes to look them up and see what the scheme is about.

Traveling With Your Suitcase Fully Packed

{ Posted on Dec 25 2011 by Keith2 }
Categories : Uncategorized

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of My Travel Checklist for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

As the Christmas holiday season is well and truly upon us, many people will be turning to book their holidays in the next couple of weeks, maybe even jetting off to the slopes for a skiing holiday. However, especially if it is a new type of holiday, how do you make sure that you remember to pack everything?

That is where the My Travel Checklist comes into use. It asks you a few easy questions, for example whether you are male or female, where you are going, the expected temperature and so on to get a handle on what you might need. It can then suggest likely items that you will need and you can add your own.

This list can then be accessed over the internet and you can print it off, email it to yourself or even look at it on your mobile phone. But even though it looks like a mobile phone app, I'm struggling to find it on the App Store, which is a pity. Maybe though that's just my mind as an App Developer!

If you want to easily produce a list of likely items that you will need to take away with you then this could be exactly what you have been looking for. And if you do pack something useful that the widget reminded you of, especially if you would otherwise have forgotten it, don't be afraid to leave me a comment!

Enjoy your holiday and make sure that you take everything with you!
